32 Winchester Special Ammo
.32 Winchester Special ammo was introduced in 1901 for the Winchester Model 94. It is not interchangeable with the .32-20 Winchester/.32 WCF. Like its parent, the 30-30 Winchester, the .32 Win Spl delivers excellent medium-range performance against deer and other game.
.32 WS ammo typically fires a relatively heavy 170 grain round nosed (for safe feeding in tubular magazines) soft point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,300 feet per second. This produces good expansion without heavy fragmentation. Hornady FTX ammunition is another strong choice, as it fires a polymer-tipped bullet that produces excellent external ballistics without the safety issues associated with metal-tipped spitzer bullets.
